SUMMER SPECIAL #3 : STUDIO GHIBLI LAYOUT DESIGNS

(My long-lost friends, Lavinia and Stacey, and I.)

(Cute stickers that visiters draw.)

(Me on the tummy of Totoro. hehe)

(I thought this poster was really funny and cute.)

(Chihiro and no-face from Spirited Away.)

I visited the Ghibli Studio layout designs exhibition in the Hong Kong Heritage Museum with my friends about two weeks ago and here are some photos we took. Too bad that photos are not allowed in the exhibition but there were plenty of photo-spots for us fans. It was amazing to see the original drafts of some of  my childhood favorites like Totoro, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Totally fascinated by the productions of Studio Ghibli, I also saw the effort they put into each animation. From sketching, coloring to actual filming, it's a very long process and they had been providing us with fabulous entertainment since their first film, Castle in the Sky, in 1986. It's a pity that Studio Ghibli has announced that it was temporarily halting production following the retirement of  Hayao Miyazaki.

The exhibition will last until 31st August. Don't miss the chance and definitely go check it out if you love their films!
